There were no urgent items.

To move the exclusion of the press and the public for the following item in view of the likely disclosure of exempt information within the meaning of paragraphs 1 and 2 of schedule 12 A to the Local Government Act 1972 (as amended).

Decision

That the press and the public be excluded for the following item(s) in view of the likely disclosure of exempt information within the meaning of Paragraphs 1 and 2 of schedule 12 A to the Local Government Act 1972 (as amended).

To consider the School Transport Appeals referred to in the exempt report by the Corporate Director of Education and Learning.

The Committee considered a number of appeals against the Council’s refusal to provide pupils with transport support.

Resolved

1.  That the appeal on behalf of MM against the Council’s refusal to provide transport support between his home and The Purbeck School, be refused.

2.  That the appeal on behalf of JB against the Council’s refusal to provide transport support between his home and Queen Elizabeth’s School, be refused.

3.  That the appeal on behalf of KD against the Council’s refusal to provide transport support between her home and Queen Elizabeth’s School, be refused.

4.  That the appeal on behalf of TH against the Council’s refusal to provide transport support between his home and Sandford St Martins CE VA Primary School, be refused.

5.  That the appeal on behalf of SK against the Council’s refusal to provide transport support between his home and Verwood CE VA First School, be allowed until end of term July 2020.
