The closure of
library buildings will reduce the risk of virus transfer in face-to-face
settings. The staff are also able to be redeployed to support the COVID-19
response through the Community Shield which is critical at this time.

based on current advice from public health this would still pose an

libraries. Libraries to close from 20/03/20 and move from a branch-based
model to a community-based provision. Agreed to redeploy employees to other
customer services areas to support the COVID-19 response. The delegation for this decision is
