Cabinet Lead Members are not members of the Cabinet but are appointed to work alongside Portfolio Holder(s). They provide additional leadership capacity and support to Cabinet. Lead Members may be members of an Overview Committee but they cannot sit on a Scrutiny Committee.
The Cabinet Lead for Environment supports the Portfolio Holder for Highways, Travel and Environment including:
· Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty
(AONB)
· Delivery and implementation of
Climate and Ecological Change Strategy
· Country parks
· Hedge to Hedge (covers drainage and
gulley clearance)
· Car parking
