Item: | Members are required to comply with the requirements of the Localism Act 2011 regarding disclosable pecuniary interests and you should therefore: Check if there is an item of business on this agenda in which you or a relevant person has a disclosable pecuniary interest. Item: | Ms Bryony Houlden, Chief Executive at South West Councils, will be available to guide members in the process of the confirmation hearing. (i) To consider a report by the Chief Executive, Dorset County Council (attached). (ii) Police and Crime Commissioner to introduce the proposed Chief Executive candidate to the Panel. (iii) To consider a report from the independent person (attached). (iv) To receive a verbal update from one of the Independent member's who acted as the Panel's silent observer. (v) Questions from the Panel to the Police and Crime Commissioner. (vi) Questions from the Panel to the Proposed Chief Executive. Exempt Business - To consider passing the following resolution: To agree that in accordance with Section 100 A (4) of the Local Government Act 1972 to exclude the public from the meeting in relation to the business specified in item 4 (vii) because it is likely that if members of the public were present, there would be disclosure to them of exempt information as defined in the Paragraph 1 of Part 1 of Schedule 12A to the Act and the public interest in withholding the information outweighs the public interest in disclosing the information to the public. (vii) Panel to deliberate in confidential session. Panel to reconvene in public session (viii) Panel Decision. |
