South Coast Traffic Management, 10 September 2026 until 10 November 2026 – MARINE PARADE, LYME REGIS between Old Bonded Stores and no. 20 Marine Parade, a distance of approximately 15 metres.  

 

This Order will enable South Coast Traffic Management to facilitate scaffolding to enable building re-pointing. 

 

Consultation period: 21 July 2026 – 18 August 2026. 

 

 

Following consultation, comments received from businesses, confirmed that Businesses Open as Usual signage will be erected. Scaffolding is also now incorporating other businesses so that they are able to have work completed. 

Comments received from 2 Airbnb owners, whose visitors will not be able to access the garages, alternative parking spaces have been made available in several Lyme Regis car parks 

The work requires scaffolding to be completed and there is not sufficient width for the scaffolding to be in place and absolute minimum widths maintained. 

 

Reasons for the decision:

Notice under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984 as amended. 

 

(a) because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road;
