The appointment of
an independent examiner for the examination of the Wareham neighbourhood
development plan.
The appointment of
an independent examiner is a legal requirement of the Town and Country Planning
Act 1990 as amended by Localism Act 2011 once a neighbourhood plan has been
submitted to the Council.
There are no
alternative options to the appointment of an examiner, as it is a legal
requirement. A number of potential
examiners were considered and the decision was made in discussion with the
neighbourhood plan Qualifying Body, Wareham Town Council.
