To consider a report of the Cabinet member for Planning and Emergency Planning.

That the response to East Devon District Council, as set out in Appendix 1 of the report of 29 January 2026, be agreed.

Reason for decision

To ensure that this Council’s views were taken into account in preparing the East Devon Local Plan and maintain appropriate cooperation during the production of both councils’ local plans.

The Cabinet Member for Planning and Emergency Planning presented a report on the East Devon local plan consultation.  The response to East Devon District Council was set out in detail as an appendix to the report and it ensured that the Council’s views were considered in preparing the East Devon Local Plan and maintain appropriate co-operation during the production of both councils’ local plans.

It was proposed by Cllr S Bartlett and seconded by Cllr B Wilson
