Variation for Lobo Loco Tex Mex, Weymouth PDF 107 KB The application has been made to vary the licence at Lobo Loco Tex Mex in Weymouth. The application has been out to public
consultation and has attracted several representations. A Licensing
Sub-Committee must consider the application and representations at a public
hearing. Additional documents: Minutes: The Licensing Team Leader presented the report for the application to vary the licence at Lobo Loco Tex Mex in Weymouth. The current licence allowed the sale of alcohol on and off the premises, between 12:00 -14:30hrs, and 17:30 - 23:00hrs. The application was to vary the licence by adding 30 minutes in the morning, the hours between 14:30 and 17:30, plus an hour at the end of the day for alcohol sales and to add late night refreshment to 01:00hrs. Following the advertisement of the application, 8 representations had been received. In response to the representations, the applicants had amended the hours being applied for to:- Sale of alcohol on and off the premises 11:30– 23:00hrs Late night refreshment (hot food & drink) Christmas eve & new years eve only - 23:00-01:00hrs The amended hours resulted in four representations being withdrawn leaving four outstanding, hence the application being heard by the panel. The Applicant was invited to address the panel. Ms Webb advised that the application was to cover solely for Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve opening. Most evenings the restaurant was shut by 21.30/22.00hrs. In response to panel questioning over any concerns from residents since she had taken over the premises in July of this year, Ms Webb informed members that following one complaint about smells, a new extractor had been fitted, and the premises had since been given a 5 star report from the Environmental Health Officer. There were no further questions and all parties were given the opportunity to sum up their case. The Applicant re-iterated that she had no intention to open the restaurant any later on a regular basis, the application was purely for the benefit of, possibly, Christmas Eve, but mainly New Year’s Eve. Exempt Business Proposed by Cllr Fry, seconded by Cllr Robinson. Decision: That the press and the public be excluded for
the following item(s) in view of the likely disclosure of exempt information
within the meaning of paragraph 3 of schedule 12 A to the Local Government Act
