of Conduct. In making their disclosure councillors are asked to state the
agenda item, the nature of the interest and any action they propose to take as
part of their declaration. If required, further advice should be sought from the Monitoring Officer in advance of the meeting. Minutes: No declarations of disclosable pecuniary interests were made at the meeting. |

business which the Chairman has had prior notification and considers to be

Exempt Business To move the exclusion of the press and the public
for the following item in view of the likely disclosure of exempt information within
the meaning of paragraph x of schedule 12 A to the Local Government Act 1972
(as amended). The public and the press will be asked to leave the
meeting whilst the item of business is considered. Minutes: Proposed by Cllr Les Fry, seconded by Cllr
Susan Cocking. Decision That the press and the public be excluded
for the following item(s) in view of the likely disclosure of exempt
information within the meaning of paragraph 1 of schedule 12 A to the Local
Government Act 1972 (as amended).

Taxi Driver Licence Application To consider a report by the Licensing Team Leader. Minutes: This application was withdrawn. |

Taxi Driver Licence Application To consider a report by the Licensing Team Leader. Minutes: The sub-committee considered a report to determine whether an application
for a private hire drivers’ licence should be given after a Police Caution was revealed
on the Disclosure and Barring Service Certificate during the application
process. The Licensing Team Leader presented her report. The applicant was subsequently invited to put their case forward and all
parties were given the opportunity to ask questions of each other and to sum
up. The sub-committee retired to make its decision. Decision: To GRANT
the application for a Private Hire Drivers’ Licence subject to the following
conditions:- 1. To undertake Safeguarding Training within
the first 3 months of his licence; and 2. To register with HMRC within one month. |

Taxi Driver's Licence Review To consider a report by the Licensing Team Leader. Minutes: The sub-committee considered a report to determine whether the applicant remained a fit and proper person to hold a Hackney Carriage Driver Licence following a recent newspaper report that raised serious concerns after the licensed driver appeared in Court for a driving offence. The Licensing Team Leader presented her report. The applicant was subsequently invited to put their case forward and all
parties were given the opportunity to ask questions of each other and to sum
up. The sub-committee retired to make its decision. Decision: To REVOKE the Hackney Carriage Drivers’ Licence with immediate effect. |
