Variation to the Premises Licence for Weymouth Kebab House PDF 124 KB An application has been made to add the sale of alcohol to the premises
licence for the Weymouth Kebab House. The application has been out to public
consultation and has attracted relevant representations. A Licensing
Sub-Committee must consider the application and the representations at a public
hearing. Additional documents:
Minutes: The
Licensing Team Leader presented the application for a variation to the premises
licence at Weymouth Kebab House, to allow for the supply of alcohol with food
by delivery, every day from 15.00 to 22.00. The
Sub-Committee members were given the opportunity to ask questions of the
Licensing Team Leader. Mr
Phil Watts the agent for the applicant was invited to present his case to the
Sub-Committee. He explained that most
deliveries would likely extend beyond the Melcombe
Regis Cumulative Impact Zone (CIZ) and would not therefore adversely affect the
CIZ. The
Sub-Committee members, Licensing Team Leader and agent were given the
opportunity to ask questions prior to the agent and Licensing Team Leader being
invited to sum up their cases. |

Exempt Business To move the exclusion of the press and the public
for the following item in view of the likely disclosure of exempt information within
the meaning of paragraph x of schedule 12 A to the Local Government Act 1972
(as amended). The public and the press will be asked to leave the
meeting whilst the item of business is considered. Minutes: It was proposed by Cllr Parker, seconded by
Cllr Cocking. Decision: That the press and the public be
excluded for the following item(s) in view of the likely disclosure of
exempt information within the meaning of paragraph 3 of schedule 12 A to
the Local Government Act 1972 (as amended). The
Sub-Committee retired to make their decision. Decision: To APPROVE the Premises Licence with the addition of new
conditions outlined below: a) Alcohol may only be supplied to customers who have ordered a meal for
delivery. b) All deliveries will be to a bona fide residential or business
address. c) If the recipient of a delivery containing alcohol appears to be under
25 years of age, recognised photographic identification will be requested
before any intoxicating liquor is handed over. Acceptable proof of age shall
include identification bearing the customers photograph, date of birth and
integral holographic mark or security measure. Suitable means of identification
would include PASS approved proof of age card, photo-card driving licence and
passport. d) All drivers will be trained in the challenge 25 policy and a written
record of such training will be retained and be available for inspection at the
request of an authorised officer. e) No alcohol will be displayed or available for purchase within the
shop. |
