To receive any apologies for absence.

An apology for absence was received from Cllr Pipe.

In the absence of the Chairman, the Vice-Chairman chaired the meeting.

If required, further advice should be sought from the Monitoring Officer in advance of the meeting.

No declarations of disclosable interests were made at the meeting.

To receive questions or statements on the business of the committee from town and parish councils and members of the public.

There was no public participation.

To consider any items of business which the Chairman has had prior notification and considers to be urgent pursuant to section 100B (4) b) of the Local Government Act 1972. The reason for the urgency shall be recorded in the minutes.

There were no urgent items.

To move the exclusion of the press and the public for the following item in view of the likely disclosure of exempt information within the meaning of paragraph 1 of schedule 12 A to the Local Government Act 1972 (as amended).

To consider the school transport appeals as set out below and in the exempt report on behalf of the Executive Director of People – Children.

The committee considered a number of appeals against the Council’s refusal to provide pupils with school transport support.

Decision

That the appeal on behalf of JP, between their home and St Mary’s CE Middle School, be allowed until the end of term July 2022.

This appeal was deferred prior to the committee meeting.
