Transport Appeals

To consider the School Transport Appeals as set out in the report by the Corporate Director for Education and Learning.

The Committee considered a number of appeals against the Council’s refusal to provide pupils with school transport support

School Transport Appeal 1

Minutes:

 

 

The appeal on behalf of AK, against the Council’s refusal to provide school transport between their home and the Dorchester Studio School, be refused.

School Transport Appeal 2

Minutes:

 

 

That the appeal on behalf of EJ, against the Council’s refusal to provide school transport between their home and The Prince of Wales School, be granted on the basis that the Committee found that exceptional circumstances applied to the application and that the school transport provision should remain in place for the duration of the time EJ is a pupil at the Prince of Wales School and/or until such a time as EJ’s mother’s medical condition should improve sufficiently for her to be able to take EJ to, and collect them from, school herself - whichever is the sooner.

That the appeal on behalf of HH, against the Council’s refusal to provide school transport between their home and The Thomas Hardye School, be refused.
